Super Bowl Entertaiment
Everybody knows that the New York Giants and the New England Patriots will face each other once again in the Super Bowl. Last time the Giants defeated the Patriots by a field goal in Super Bowl XLII; but, will this happen again? The Giants have already beaten New England this season; but, it is well known that football is an unpredictable sport. This was proved this year in the NCAA when the Alabama Crimson Tide didn’t allow their opponent, the LSU Tigers, from achieving yardage past the 50-yard line in the landside, rematch victory. This may well happen again at Super Bowl XLVII as anything can happen at the Super Bowl.
Sports events have already been productive in gathering crowds. The Super Bowl has taken this to a new level. So, it is of no wonder when you hear how much companies spend to host an ad during the Super Bowl. The cost of ads in the Super Bowl has varied through the years. But, the cost has been ever increasing over recent years. For example, just last year, a 30 second ad spot in the Super Bowl cost $3 M as opposed to $2.5 M in 2010. This year, a 30 second ad spot is estimated to cost $3.5 M. This can be compared to about a $30 average to sponsor ads during other television shows.
Along with amazing Super Bowl commercials, the halftime show, this year hosted by Madonna, and a great NFL game played each year make the Super Bowl one of the most watched programs on national television.
